SKIN ON SKIN

When I restarted this blog a couple weeks ago I had some concern that, having previously run out of things to say, it might be expecting too much of myself to find new things and revisit some previous entries. Fortunately, my imagination has kicked in and I find myself making little notes about potential new topics. Enough so I have at least a couple/three months worth of bi-weekly essays to come. Thanks for sticking with me through this long gestation. One old man (not me) It strikes me I need to do some editing on the artwork for this site. The sub-heading on the banner above is "One middle-aged man's take on sex, society, and his penis."  I am forced, kicking and screaming, to acknowledge that this is now "One old man's take..." Yep. I am now officially in the "old" category. When I started this blog - actually when I started its predecessor, which ran for a couple of years before its email account was compromised - I was in my mid-fifties, sti...

2023 'N ME

Image
I haven't done this before, but I'm gonna post my more private New Year's resolutions here. Give myself a benchmark to measure how I do throughout 2023 versus 2022. First, background: The first half of 2022 was spectacular. I dropped 30 pounds, exercised regularly and felt tremendous. Then I went on vacation and was very self-indulgent. But in those three weeks I only gained 4 pounds, and still felt great physically. "I see thin people." The last three months of 2022 were a physical mess. I ate, drank and dropped my regular workouts. Purely self-indulgent and I own that. So, for 2023: -   Back to Ketogenic eating. Exceptionally low carb, with an emphasis on green veggies and healthy fat  consumption. (Avocados here I come!) - Intermittent fasting. 16 hours a day. The jury is out medically on this, but I found it improved my sense of health and well-being. I didn't walk through the day like a zombie after eating (carbs are also largely responsible for this). - ...

JUST PART OF THE SCENERY

Image
As I write this I am overseas on a long-needed extended vacation. My wife and I are in a fairly exotic locale as, as I usually do, I’m spending most of the time in the hotel room as naked as possible. Which means most of the time, and completely nude. Just part of the scenery A month or so ago friend of mine, who is the progeny of a pretty militantly nudist father, sent me an article regarding nudism and various points of view on the topic. It was a really observant piece and we began corresponding about the information. This friend knows I enjoy being nude - she's one of only two friends who knows about this blog - and when I commented upon using the vacation as an excuse to strip down she replied suggesting that my wife was probably becoming a little blasé - her words were “I guess Wifey has come to think of you (and I mean ALL of you) as just part of the scenery.” Ouch. A little harsh. I replied that “THAT’S not very good.” She responded: “I agree. I wasn't going to say ...

IT'S JUST THE ME OF ME

Image
An aspect of my continuing weight loss/fitness regimen is some building excitement for this upcoming Summer season. For the first time in decades I'll feel comfortable taking off my shirt at the beach or at pool parties. Oddly enough, even though I am comfortable being fully nude around other (consenting) people in private, that strangely doesn't translate to comfort being shirtless in public places. I'm sure that psychologists have an explanation or at least a term for it, but I have - had - a mental discomfort with being overweight and topless in public for decades based on poor health and body image. It's part of the ongoing psychological examination I'm still doing, despite the six decades of trying to understand who I am. That's the core purpose of this blog, of course, so hopefully it isn't too repetitive. This year has been particularly good as far as showing me that my self-esteem is based not on how I'm perceived by others, but how much I feel ...

CONFIDENCE-TIALLY SPEAKING

Image
The other day I received a rather startled email response from a friend responding to a note of my own in which I said I feel self-conscious, particularly when my weight increases. She was surprised, I think, because I am rather open about the fact I don't really care who sees me naked and who, in turn, I may see naked.  As I've noted frequently here (maybe too frequently?) nudity doesn't bother me under most circumstances. Mine or anyone else's.  But there's a fundamental difference for me when it comes to being fully comfortable with how I perceive myself, versus my lack of discomfort being nude with other people or around their nudity. ( Great article at the HuffPost on how to be more comfortable nude .) A couple of caveats: I don't, *ahem*, press my nudity on anyone. I'm not a nudist, which if you have read previous posts you understand my thinking. If someone sees me naked it's because they're comfortable with it and the circumstances allow it....

PREVIOUSLY, ON THE RAMBLING COCK...

Lots of things going on in life, keeping me from updating very often. Plus, I think I've exhausted a bunch of topics and not having a real source of new material it might start to get stale. We're approaching Spring and that means that shortly I'll start being able to lay out by the pool again without getting cold. I'm looking forward to that, provided I get enough time off of work to give me the opportunity. Work has developed into a 50-hour/week occupation, but for the most part I'll have some free time during the day most days. I've become a lot more pale than I like and am looking forward to the relaxation of lying in the sun. The medical front (pun not fully intended) continues unabated. I seem to be coming into another season of unabated attention towards my groin. My urologist commented that I was pretty much a urological trifecta, with problems in my kidneys, testicles and possibly prostate. (He's now very concerned about my last voiding...

IT'S A HARD COCK LIFE

Image
I may have used that headline before. Ah well. Just a short update to note that I'm about three weeks into my "modified jelqing" routine and it's doing some good things for my erection. As I commented before, I don't buy into the whole "makes your cock bigger" line of promotion, but it does seem to be letting me more erect and at my largest for a more extended period of time. In addition, my flaccid cock tends to hang a little lower and longer than before. So, at the moment, the progress is good. My orgasms seem to be a little more intense, and I don't feel the grittiness in the core of my penis any more. There are a few spots left, but on the whole the penis feels smoother and more supple when I'm soft, if that's an acceptable way to describe it. Work with me here. I'm a work in progress in other ways. My cardio doctor has reduced a major med after I began getting dizzy spells, and my stamina is wayyy up from last ...

LET'S GET PHYSICAL

Image
My workout routine is going well. I walk between 6K and 19K steps a day depending upon my work schedule. My job is heavily dependent upon walking, movement, and lifting heavy things, so it's perfect for getting a workout in. I swim for twenty minutes or so most days (before getting out and drying off naturally) . I have now added 20+ minutes of dance exercise to my daily routine. The right direction. Two years ago, when I was twenty pounds lighter than I am now, I was dancing for around 40 minutes a day. That exercise came as part of a longer term program to lose weight I had embarked upon. It got me down forty-plus pounds from my highest weight, and within striking distance of several major goals.  I danced around, just bopping around really, to various tracks on Youtube. Nothing formal. And it all collapsed as life intervened. But I'm pushing back. So I've resumed doing the dancing first thing in the morning. I started yesterday, and was pleasantly surpri...

CFNM and Dipping The Skinny

Image
"There are exceptions, but I believe that most males enjoy being nude in front of the opposite sex, whereas most females would find it embarrassing. Deep down, I think that males equate nudity with power, but females equate it with vulnerability." - Unknown I've remarked on a few blog entries about times in which I was naked while others were dressed. I was into "CFNM" (Clothed Female, Naked Male) before that term even became used. And I think I come by it honestly and innocently. Growing up I was a boy scout, and this often meant being naked with each other on camping trips or at swim parties at our scoutmaster's home. His wife often hosted while we cavorted around in the pool. The scoutmaster was as naked as we boys were, while his wife typically wore a sundress when she came out onto the patio to refill water pitchers or drop off snacks for us. Inevitably we all jumped out of the pool and ran over to make sure we got whatever treats she ...
