Happy Nude Year?

Image
Welcome to 2021. It's been a long time since I posted, largely because I really don't have anything new or remarkable to discuss...until now I guess.  Two weeks ago I had surgery. I'm seeing a new urologist. I think my old one will be retiring soon,  though nobody's saying it overtly. Therefore, new blood. And the new guy is thorough and smart. He's the guy I wrote about last year who, on our first meeting, had me naked from nipples to ankles on his ultrasound table as he examined me from the kidneys to the groin. A month ago I was in his office and the pinpoint of pain to the left of my penis had been bothering me for a while. On a scale of 1-10, it was averaging more sixes and sevens than threes and fours. And within a minute of having me drop trow and groping around he pressed down, right on the spot of pain. "Here?" "Exactly!" He pressed a bit more and isolated it, suggesting it was either a cyst or scar tissue pressing on a nerve...

FEELING GOOD

Image
Stars when you shine, you know how I feel Scent of the pine, you know how I feel Oh, freedom is mine, and I know how I feel It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me And I'm feelin'... good In my usual line of work I am exposed to a lot of people (no, not like that). I interact with the general public in a large specialized retail location making specific recommendations consulting on foods, wines and spirits, and am considered to be an expert in aspects of my field. So, in the interests of my health versus the coronavirus we're all fighting right now, I asked my management to give me time off until this all corrects itself. My wife's medical issues - and my own - make us more vulnerable. My boss was reluctant, and instead proposed a new night shift which I would manage. Just me and a small team to stock shelves and move freight. Very physical work. "Eh, who needs a Speedo?" I agreed, and began the difficult transition to...

INNOCENT PLEASURES

Image
Pure joy Some years ago I wrote a short story about a childhood friendship - fictional, not mine - in which a pubescent young boy and a pubescent young woman both skinny dipped and lay out in meadow talking about their friendship with each other. The boy, I think, was moving away and it was rocking their young worlds. They weren't in love. They were best friends and had been that way since they were small kids. And the skinny dipping had become one of the innocent pleasures of their friendship, despite the fact that adults might perceive it as problematic. In other words, sexual. Adults see worlds through a very puritan point of view in modern America. The concept that two young people couple possibly be good friends, naked and close, without it becoming sexual is beyond them. It speaks more towards their own mindset than it does the kids'. No one I know...but they have the right idea In college I had a best friend and fuck buddy, I'll call her Sally...

GYMNOS V BACCHANALIAN

Image
Wow, that's an exotic title. Gymnos is the root word for "gymnasium." It's foundationally a Greek word, meaning "naked." The ancient Greeks and other cultures believed that sports was best done in the nude, and a perfectly sculpted male body - because women were property, more or less - was a tribute to the gods, in whose image we were cast. Bacchus was a Greek deity, renamed Dionysus by the Romans who appropriated this god of the grape-harvest, winemaking and wine, of fertility, ritual madness,   religious ecstasy , and theatre. And I have been locked in a mental and physical battle for dominance by these two conflicting philosophies of life. The first is a focus on physicality and fitness. Of being athletic and healthy, enough so that one shouldn't mind being seen naked upon occasion, as with the ancient athletes. For much of my pre-marital days this was my mindset. On the other hand, during my college years self-indulgence set in....

PAPEN UP ALL OVER

Image
I have mentioned on several occasions that I am drawn to people who are sexually and sensually open. People who are comfortable in their own skin and enjoy the pleasures of the bodies we have been given. If you're not familiar with the name Marisa Papen , allow me to make introductions. Ms. Papen is a Belgian model who, to put it mildly, is an uninhibited provocateur of the highest caliber. Her personal website goes more into the whys and wherefores, but - having never met her - my impression is of a woman who doesn't suffer fools, and is willing to go to extremes to make sociological and political points. Not simply content to protest the social restrictions and institutional hypocrisies of largely immovable monoliths like the government of Turkey or the Catholic Church, Ms Papen (and her partner photographers) uses her own sensuality and nudity to make important statements on social issues. Being a beautiful woman with - let's face it - a rockin' body d...

SOCIAL NEKKIDITY

Image
In the last year or so I’ve been pretty straightforward in my discussions about sexuality and some of the behavioral aspects of aging as well as what seems, to me at the very least, the constant exposure of my genitalia and discussions regarding them. The majority of Lil Rambler’s appearances are medical in nature and behind closed doors, though I will usually share intimate details of my life with a close few friends. I’m an open book with only a couple of people, but being a blunt sort of guy I don’t bother hiding much from anyone else if asked directly. Which brings me to an odd and re-emerging aspect of my personality: immodesty. In college I had a reasonably well-earned reputation for being naked. Not as a nudist, but someone who posed for art projects, played a fair amount of strip poker, and didn’t bother closing the door to my dorm room or asking anyone of either sex to hide their eyes if I happened to be changing. I had a pretty good physiqu...

JUST A THOUGHT

Image
Several entries have dealt with nudity around other people. I'm pretty comfortable with it. Not as a nudist, but just relaxed about the times when it's a comfort thing. I have a good friend who, on his first date with a woman he would later marry, told her he'd be more comfortable with her naked. Not sexually, but openly. Nudity is not sexuality.

KEEPING IT CLEAN

Image
I love shower sex. There is something wonderfully erotic and refreshing about sharing a shower with another person, or group of people for that matter. It doesn't even need to be about sex, though that's (obviously) a very nice extra. I love shower sex. And I also love shower intimacy. E ven if it doesn't end in sex, being close to another person and sharing the experience can be a powerful and erotic bonding experience. In our home we have specifically designed the showers to allow more than one person to shower at a time. In the master bedroom's bathroom the shower is so big it could hold three. (Even the bathtub is large enough for two...) But they so rarely have been used for more than a single person that it's a lost opportunity. Our guest bathroom - we have a section of the house set aside for guests and we frequently rent it out on AirBnB - features a dual-head shower large enough for two, and we like to think some of the people who stay ...
