IT'S A HARD COCK LIFE

Image
I may have used that headline before. Ah well. Just a short update to note that I'm about three weeks into my "modified jelqing" routine and it's doing some good things for my erection. As I commented before, I don't buy into the whole "makes your cock bigger" line of promotion, but it does seem to be letting me more erect and at my largest for a more extended period of time. In addition, my flaccid cock tends to hang a little lower and longer than before. So, at the moment, the progress is good. My orgasms seem to be a little more intense, and I don't feel the grittiness in the core of my penis any more. There are a few spots left, but on the whole the penis feels smoother and more supple when I'm soft, if that's an acceptable way to describe it. Work with me here. I'm a work in progress in other ways. My cardio doctor has reduced a major med after I began getting dizzy spells, and my stamina is wayyy up from last ...

LET'S GET PHYSICAL

Image
My workout routine is going well. I walk between 6K and 19K steps a day depending upon my work schedule. My job is heavily dependent upon walking, movement, and lifting heavy things, so it's perfect for getting a workout in. I swim for twenty minutes or so most days (before getting out and drying off naturally) . I have now added 20+ minutes of dance exercise to my daily routine. The right direction. Two years ago, when I was twenty pounds lighter than I am now, I was dancing for around 40 minutes a day. That exercise came as part of a longer term program to lose weight I had embarked upon. It got me down forty-plus pounds from my highest weight, and within striking distance of several major goals.  I danced around, just bopping around really, to various tracks on Youtube. Nothing formal. And it all collapsed as life intervened. But I'm pushing back. So I've resumed doing the dancing first thing in the morning. I started yesterday, and was pleasantly surpri...

GYMNOS V BACCHANALIAN

Image
Wow, that's an exotic title. Gymnos is the root word for "gymnasium." It's foundationally a Greek word, meaning "naked." The ancient Greeks and other cultures believed that sports was best done in the nude, and a perfectly sculpted male body - because women were property, more or less - was a tribute to the gods, in whose image we were cast. Bacchus was a Greek deity, renamed Dionysus by the Romans who appropriated this god of the grape-harvest, winemaking and wine, of fertility, ritual madness,   religious ecstasy , and theatre. And I have been locked in a mental and physical battle for dominance by these two conflicting philosophies of life. The first is a focus on physicality and fitness. Of being athletic and healthy, enough so that one shouldn't mind being seen naked upon occasion, as with the ancient athletes. For much of my pre-marital days this was my mindset. On the other hand, during my college years self-indulgence set in....

FIZZICAL PHITNESS

Image
Over the years my weight has fluctuated quite a bit. In my college years I was fit and had a pretty good physique. In later years I have - I hate to admit - become obese and at-times very unhealthy. Around six months ago I started a new job which involves a lot of activity. On my feet for up to eight hours, sometimes up and down ladders carrying heavy boxes. Fitness is good It's a great way to start the process of getting back into shape. Recently I've started wearing a Fitbit and am averaging around 12,000 steps on work days, and around 7000 on my days off. And the cool part is that I am recognizing all of the "symptoms" of wanting to return to a more fit condition. I am feeling the urge to stretch different muscle groups (and very happy they are presenting themselves as "muscle groups"). I feel great walking my dogs, and having the strength to control them without too much effort. Look, Ma, no tanlines I am also swimming with as much re...

LOST HORIZONS

Image
Part of my motivation for starting this blog was to deal with a number of elements of my sexuality, particularly as I recovered some of my previously-held sexual confidence as a result of testosterone treatments. But another element has occurred, and I hadn't planned on - but genuinely appreciate - the effect of the shots. I've begun working out and losing weight. Weight that has stubbornly refused to budge for decades. Damn, this feels good ! When I began my treatments I was, more or less, ninety pounds overweight. Fat. Obese. Not a healthy thing for a former athlete, or someone of any background. But I'd eaten and lazed myself into serious health issues and had pretty well given up trying to lose anything. Yes, I'd done all those trendy diets. Jenny Craig, Nutrisystems, South Beach, even HCG injections, etc. On most of them I lost weight - and then steadily regained it when the diet or treatments ended. So last year when I began the testosteron...
